Welcome from the Principal
Thank you for visiting our web site. I hope you will gain a valuable insight in to the many aspects that make Christ’s College a school that students, parents and teachers alike are proud of. Everything we do is firmly rooted in the Bible and Christian values.
The teachers at Christ’s College work incredibly hard to meet the needs of each student and treat them as an individual. The students take pride in their work and strive to get the best grades they possibly can.
We aim to offer a broad curriculum that gives opportunities for students to study courses that will give them clear paths to future success. We have a range of academic and vocational courses. It is our hope that this allows every student to develop as an individual.
In addition to the academic side of the college, we have a wide range of extra-curricular activities that allow students to develop their talents. We are rightly proud of our school productions and the various successes of our sporting teams.
We expect high standards of uniform, behaviour and academic effort from our students at all times. We encourage parents to work alongside and ensure the expectations of the college are valued and supported. In this way we feel our students have the best chance to become responsible members of society, ready to face the challenges they will face in the future.
We have three character traits that we seek to promote in our students:
Perseverance – We want our students to know that success comes from hard work. When they face a new challenge we want them to have the attitude that they don’t know how to do something yet, but will try their hardest.
Resilience – We know that the teenager years can be difficult. We want students at Christ’s College to know what to do and who to talk to when they face problems. We want them to be able to support one another and become well-rounded individuals.
Optimism – We want our students to know that they have a bright future ahead of them. We want them to have ambitious goals and work hard to meet them.
If you are looking for a secondary school for your child, please feel free to contact the college. We often have opportunities for parents to visit the college for a tour.
