GCSE Results 2026: Celebrating the Class of 2026

We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students following the publication of their GCSE results.

As a school, we are on an exciting journey of improvement, and this year's results demonstrate excellent progress in some of the measures that matter most for our students' futures. In particular, we have seen significant improvements in Mathematics and in the number of students achieving secure passes in both English and Mathematics.

We are proud of all of our students but a huge well done goes to:

Huw P who achieved 5 Grade 9s, 4 x 8s and a 1 x 7 and Sam S who achieved 4 Grade 9s, 4 x 8s and 2 x 7s

Progress in English and Mathematics

This year, significantly more students achieved Grade 4 and above in both English and Mathematics combined, with further improvements also seen at Grade 5 and above.

These outcomes mean that more students are progressing with the qualifications they need to access their chosen destinations, whether that be sixth form, further education, apprenticeships or employment.

The improvements reflect the hard work, determination and resilience of our students, supported by the expertise and dedication of staff and the continued encouragement of families.

Superb Progress in Mathematics

Mathematics was a particular strength this year, with a significant increase compared with last year in the number of students achieving Grade 4 and above, as well as Grade 5 and above.

Students made excellent progress from their starting points, demonstrating what can be achieved through sustained focus, high expectations and consistent hard work.

These results are a tremendous achievement for our students and a testament to the commitment of our Mathematics team. They represent an important milestone in the school's continuing journey of improvement.

Continuing to Build on Success

We are also proud of strong outcomes across a number of subjects, including Religious Studies, 3D Design and Photography, where students achieved excellent results and demonstrated the breadth of talent across the year group.

While we celebrate today's successes, we remain ambitious for the future and committed to ensuring every student receives the support, challenge and opportunities they need to thrive.

We are proud of what our students have achieved and the progress we are making as a schoolHi. However, results alone do not define our young people.

The students collecting their results today have shown courage, resilience, kindness, determination and perseverance throughout their time at Christ's. These qualities will serve them well as they move on to the next stage of their education and beyond.

We are incredibly proud of every member of the Class of 2026 and grateful to the teachers, support staff and families who have supported them throughout their journey.

We wish all of our students every success as they move on to sixth form, further education, apprenticeships, employment and the many opportunities that lie ahead.

Congratulations, Year 11. We are proud of you.

Leading with love, learning with purpose... we are proud to be Christ's.
