The Uniform Page(skip to order forms)

We strongly believe in maintaining a College uniform and we encourage learners to take pride in their appearance.

All learners from Year Seven to Year Eleven must wear the College uniform listed below:

Black blazer with College badge
Black fleece with College name (Autumn half-term to Summer half-term only)
College tie*
Mid-blue shirt – with standard or open reverse collar
Black trousers: available from College supplier
Black A-line skirt: available from College supplier (which should be knee length)
Black socks: black or ‘natural' tights
Black shoes: fabric, reinforced toe, open-toe, open sling-back shoes, mules and stiletto heels or heels over 6 cms are not permitted and trainers are not permitted
A plain black V-neck jumper may be purchased from the College supplier.

All learners should use a simple, sturdy bag or case large enough to carry books, games kit and any other necessary equipment.

*Available from the Finance Office. They are £4 each.

Notes:

  • Blazer must be worn at all times. (In hot weather the teacher may decide that blazers can be removed.)

  • Tie must be worn with standard collar.

  • Outdoor wear should be plain, simple and smart – preferably the College fleece. It is strongly advised that it is shower resistant and should not be made of expensive fabric such as leather. Outdoor wear must not be worn in the College buildings.

  • The only permitted fleece is the black College fleece with logo, which must be worn outside the blazer. No other fleece is permitted.

  • Trousers must not be split or decorated in any way.

  • Denim or denim-like material is not permitted in any form.

  • The following are key health and safety rules:

- Learners may wear a watch, one plain ring, a simple fine cross and chain and one pair of small studs, one in each ear.

- facial jewellery or other body piercing is not permitted;

- make-up is permitted from Year 8 but it must be discrete – in this respect the decision of the Year Learning Manager is final;

- extreme hairstyles or hair colouring are not permitted, especially any that identify the wearer with particular groups; long hair must be tied back in all practical lessons. (Items worn for purposes of recognised religious observance are permitted.)
